Wishing You Peace this Holiday Season!

Tis the season!

I will be taking a break from posting on social media and from here on the blog until January. I've heard of others specifically taking a break from social media during this time of the year and this year I have felt especially compelled to do so. It felt kind of silly to announce it but I also wanted to, in case it encouraged another person who felt like they wanted to take a break but couldn't.

Social media is a funny thing. On one hand, I appreciate the entertainment and knowledge that I find when scrolling Instagram, but on the other it can quickly become a place for dissociating, leaving me to feel out of sorts when I emerge from my phone back into reality. It also can feel like a place that I need to show up out of necessity for business, but that doesn't always come with a feeling of fulfillment either.

In the hustle and bustle of Christmas, I didn't want to be placing myself in a position of feeling crabby or on edge if I didn't need to. I ultimately decided it is okay to take breaks :) Practice what I preach, right? If anything, I can return to content creation feeling refreshed instead of drained.

So for you, I hope you can find a way to take a break, take something off your plate, or find time to rest this holiday season!
