Chickens, Huckleberries, and the Lake, oh my!

Disclaimer: that is not a picture of one of my chickens. But it looks very similar to one of them, who we have named Evelyn! As we were building our chicken coop, I spent a few hours painting it all and during that time I entertained myself by naming all 11 of them :) I get a kick out of hearing my kids coming in and telling me "Frances laid an egg!" or "Harriet is making a lot of noise!"

Summer has been full of all the things for us! If you follow this blog at all you'll notice its been a few months since I last posted. It completely fell off my radar to post anything, and thenJuly rolled around and I realized it had been too long, and alas here we are in August already and I'm finally posting. And that's okay! My self-imposed guideline of posting on the 5th and 10th of each month was just a made up guideline that could be changed. That's the beauty of doing things my own way!

As I am typing this it is Sprout's 3 year anniversary which in some ways feels crazy that we are already heading into our 4th year of practice. In other ways, the road from that first day hasn't always been easy, either professionally or personally. There has been a lot (a LOT) of juggling along the way, and many check ins with myself about what my values are in running my own practice and being a wife, mother, daughter, friend. Any time spent away from my family has to be 100% worth it or it isn't worth doing.

I am so proud to say that Sprout is 100% worth doing. The rewarding work of providing chiropractic care for families, and walking alongside them as they grow is one of the best things. I often get emotional the first time I get to check and adjust a newborn baby, although I am pretty good at keeping that feeling under wraps (I think;)).

So while the summer has been full of things like fresh chicken eggs, time spent outside enjoying the beautiful Montana summer, and no school routine, it has felt so good to have a work place that can thrive right alongside my family life.

I have nothing but gratitude for each and every client who walks through my doors and has committed to their health and wellbeing. Here's many more years of growing, learning, and being filled up by all the good things!
